Installing it

  1. Tap Download the app above. The file is about 34 MB, so use wifi if you can.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android will ask whether to allow installing apps from this browser — normal for an app that is not on the Play Store, and you answer it once.
  3. Google Play Protect will say it does not recognise the developer. Tap More details, then Install anyway. See below for why.
  4. Tap Install, then Open.
  5. Sign in with the email and password your administrator gave you.

Why Play Protect warns you

Play Protect checks every app against Google's catalogue. This app is not in the Play Store — it is your company's own software, installed on your company's phones — so Google has never seen it and cannot vouch for the developer. That is what the warning says, and it is accurate.

It is not a virus report. If the warning ever says something different — that the app is harmful rather than unrecognised — stop and tell your administrator rather than installing it.

Before your first round

  1. Allow notifications, so a new delivery reaches you without opening the app.
  2. Allow the camera if you will be capturing delivery photos or scanning barcodes.
  3. Sign in once while you have signal. After that the app works offline and syncs when it finds a connection.
Keep the app installed rather than reinstalling it. A reinstall is a new installation as far as the office is concerned, and anything you had not yet synced is gone with it.
